INTERACTION
The amount of time kids spend outside is alarmingly low, while screen time is at an all-time high. Kids learn how to interact with the world around them through play. It helps them learn the cognitive, physical, social and emotional skills that they need to thrive in the classroom, their careers and in the community.
NATURE
Research indicates that, when kids play and learn in nature, they do so with better engagement, imagination, and cooperation. In addition, kids spending time in nature regularly become better stewards of the environment.
MUSIC
Music contributes to what experts call a rich sensory environment, which helps kids in most areas of school, including reading and math. An early introduction to music does more than entertain. It can kick-start learning, serve as an important cue in a child's routine, and offer lifelong benefits.
PLANTING TREES
Kids can gain tremendously from taking part in the tradition of planting a tree. It can be meaningful, symbolic, and has a practical purpose of great importance to the community. Trees provide shade, enhance biodiversity and maintain the integrity of the land.
